Located at the junction of Ruifang District, Keelung and New Taipei City, this area used to be full of coal mines, but with the decline of the industry, most of the mines in Sijiaoting are now closed.

Sijiaoting Fort is one of the few remaining forts left from the Japanese occupation period. After years of restoration work, New Taipei City Government approved it as a category three historical site. There is a visitor center at the fort, which provides detailed explanations of its various facilities, giving visitors a more in depth understanding of the site.

To visit the fort take the Sijiaoting Hiking Trail, which is relatively easy to hike, making it perfect for families and children.
