Shuangxi is the junction point between New Taipei City and Yilan County, and an important relay station on Danlan Old Trail. Many trade transactions were transshipped at Shuangxi Ferry Port, which drove the development of local commerce. However, over time the area fell quiet and Shuangxi Old Street is now deserted and silent.
Surrounded by mountains in Shuangxi, the adjacent historic trails extend in all directions, including Tsanguangliao Historic Trail, Jinzibei Historic Trail, Diaoshan Historic Trail, and Zhongkeng Historic Trail, all of which are connected to other historic trails, allowing climbers to immerse themselves in and enjoy the tranquility and natural ecology of the original mountain forest path.
