Shifen-Danlan National-level Green Hiking Trail

Shifen is located in Pingxi District, New Taipei City. The Pingxi Railway Line was originally built to transport coal but is today a popular sightseeing route.

Shifen Old Street remains full of old buildings built along both sides of the train track. Most old street shops sell sky lanterns. Visitors can see slowly rising sky lanterns at Shifen Station and old street, and the colorful sight creates a beautiful and moving sky lantern atmosphere.

Walk along old street to reach Shifen Waterfall. Shifen Waterfall is viewed as the Niagara Falls of Taiwan. There is a waterfall viewing platform next to the site, where visitors can enjoy panoramic views at up close and personal.
