Located in Ruifang District and Shuangxi District of New Taipei City, Sandiaoling is sparsely populated, with verdant mountains on both sides of a river with occasional local trains crossing the river. The beauty of this quiet mountain city brings to mind a fantasy world drawn by Hayao Miyazaki.
Walking along the railway tracks from Sandiaoling Station, visitors arrive at "Sandiaoling Hiking Trail." The route provides exquisite scenery made up of cliffs, churn holes and caves, as well as "Sandiaoling Waterfalls". When there is abundant rainfall, the waterfalls are particularly impressive. As the trail is relatively easy to walk, it has become a popular route in recent years.
