Shipai is located between Sidu and Yilan, Pinglin District, New Taipei City."Shipai County Boundary Park" marks the junction of New Taipei City and Yilan County and is located at the highest point of Beiyi Highway. It offers excellent views and a modern art design viewing platform at Guishan Island, Lanyang Plain, Wushi Port and Beiyi Highway.
Shipai County Boundary Park is also the beginning of an Paoma Historic Trail and has a striking stone monument that marks the beginning of the Historic Trail. Paoma Historic Trail is the best-preserved section of Danlan Old Trail South Trail and in the past wooden horses were used to transport wood, so it was also called Wooden Horse Road. From Shipai to Jiaoxi, Yilan, the trail is about 6km in length and offers insights into our ancestors’ reclamation of Lanyang and the abundant local plant and animal habitats.
