The establishment of "Taipei Neihu Technology Park" facilitated the vigorous development of Neihu. The telecommunications and computer technology industries successively set up headquarters, driving the rapid construction of residential and commercial buildings.

The geographical characteristics of Neihu are it has one river (Keelung River) and two lakes (Dahu Lake and BihuLake). It is also surrounded by mountains and hills on the east, north and west sides. There are many well-established hiking trails and temples: "Bishanyan" is Taiwan's largest Shengwanggong Temple; "Yuanjue Zen Temple" is the earliest Buddhist temple in Neihu; "Jinlong Temple" has lifelike statues of the Eighteen Arhats on the trail. Dahu Park and Bihu Park are popular with citizens and good places for walking and leisure.

"Jinmian Mountain Trail" is named because the land contains quartz, which glows when it reflected in the sun. It is about 2.5 kilometers in length with Jiandaoshi Peak at an altitude of 258 meters, getting its name because the stacked stones look like scissors.

"Zhongyong Mountain Trail": Along the way, visitors pass many temples such as Bishanyan and Jinlong Temple. Walking the entire trail is akin to being on a "pilgrimage," with a highest point of 327 meters above sea level. There is a striking bronze statue of Chiang Kai-shek and on the trail visitors pass the famous Baishi Lake Suspension Bridge.

"Dragon Boat Rock Trail”: It takes about 10-15 minutes to reach the top of the mountain. It is called "Dragon Boat Rock" with many natural boulders because the boulders are tilted at an angle that makes them resemble a dragon boat.

"Dagou River Waterfront Trail": The "Dagou River Ecological Water Control Park" project is not only responsible for intercepting sediment, flood control and water conservation, it is also a water-friendly green space park for recreation and fun. Walking along the trail beside Dagou River, trees provide shade trees and there are waterfalls. After walking the trail, visitors feel refreshed.
