In the past "Liulanglu" was an important road used to transport minerals and materials from Jiufen to Ruifang. At 12K at Urban Road 102, Ruishuang Highway, New Taipei City, there is a stone marker next to the highway indicating “Liulanglu Sightseeing Trail." This marks the beginning of the ancient "Liulang Foot" trail, which goes straight up the stairs. Hikers note that visitors who do not have the energy to climb the path can go down the trail from Jiufen. Liulangtou viewing platform is at the highest point of the ancient trail, with an excellent view of Ruifang city, Keelung Badouzi fishing port, Guanyin Mountain, and an unobstructed view of the coastal scenery. "Songde Park" is at the end of the trail, and was built to commemorate the founder of Taiyang Mining, Mr. Yan Yunnian, who took care of the miners' lives for decades.
