Langling Historic Trail starts in Fulong or Shicheng which is near the old Caoling tunnel. After passing through the tunnel, there is a must-see attraction on the northeast coast crossing New Taipei City and Yilan County. Longling Historic Trail is located at the top of the tunnel. It is an earlier developed section of Danlan Old Trail and a Historic Trail in the primitive wilderness. Before stating to hike the mountain trail, visitors should make sure they are well equipped, with trekking poles, waterproof hiking shoes, and sufficient food and water. The historic trail trekking challenge in Longling can be combined with a day trip to Fulong on the northeast coast.
