The Pinghu Forest Recreation Area is located at the junction of Pingxi and Shuangxi. Although the Recreation Area has long been abandoned, the surrounding trails and flora/fauna in the area, such as azaleas and fireflies, still attract many tourists, with east and west trails in the surrounding area. The east trail is more artificial, while the west trail retains its original natural features. From the west trail to the top of Neipinglin Mountain, the view is excellent. Visitors can see Wufen Mountain Weather Radar Station and the rolling mountains along the northeast cape. The end of the West Trail at the viewing platform joins with the East Pinghu Trail.
