The East Pinghu Trail is located in Pinghu Forest Recreation Area. Although the facilities have been abandoned, the park is still full of flowers and trees. When the rhododendrons bloom during the flowering season, the entire mountain is dotted with color. The east trail has been refurbished and repaved with granite slabs, making it a family-friendly trail. The trail is easy to walk after being repaired and paved with stone slabs. Except for a small section where it is steep, the trail is gentle and easy to walk. The viewing platform at the end overlooks the surrounding mountains and sea when the weather is good. The viewing platform is at an intersection with Pinghu West Trail. Depending on their fitness visitors can choose to continue to challenge the more primitive and natural West Trail Mountain Road.
