Pingxi Historic Trail is located in Shuangxi District, New Taipei City and is 1.5 kilometers in length from the beginning to the final viewing platform. Similar to other historic trails in Shuangxi District, it is built along Ping river and is a gentle, wide and comfortable dirt path with no challenging climbing. It is a hydrophilic trail suitable for the whole family to hike.
The trail passes three small bridges, with the concrete arched bridge at the beginning small and simple, and the two along the forest route relatively modern. In the non-rainy season, visitors can choose to walk across Pingxi River and in the cool stream. The sky is shaded by trees creating a green tunnel which is very cool. When the weather is good, standing on the viewing platform at the end of the trail visitors can see Guishan Island in the distance. There is also a "Beauty of Guishan Island" explanation board for visitors.
