The Xinyi Metropolitan Area of Taipei City is a bustling commercial hub, but there are several historic trails along Danlan National Greenway South Road hidden in the adjacent mountains. Miaogaotai Historic Trail is one such green forest trail. It is relatively easy trail, suitable for urban residents with a reasonable level of fitness. The trail is along the ridgeline path of Nangang Mountain and can be traversed with Tiaomi Historic Trail. It starts at Tiaomigong Temple and goes to Miaogao Platform, which is about 275 meters above sea level. "Han Shou Pavilion" is dedicated to Guangong, while Miaogao Platform is small in size but offers visitors a view of Taipei Basin and Xinyi Wenshan District at the foot of the mountain and traffic traveling south to north along the Xinyi Expressway. It is also a popular rest spot with hikers.
