The trail is located in Shiding District, New Taipei City and divided into two sections. The first section starts at Danlan Suspension Bridge over Shiding River and traverses the foot of National Highway No. 5. The trail is neat and flat, spacious and easy to walk, whether wooden stairs or granite, a hidden paradise under the highway. After completing the historic trail it is about 800 meters to Shiding Old Street, where visitors can enjoy a whole afternoon among the unadorned streets, century-old stone houses, eating local snacks and desserts.
