Danlan National-level Green Hiking Trail

“Wai'ao Service Area” is a bright yellow building that resembles a big ship and a paraglider. Standing in front of the entrance hall to the service area, it is almost as if Guishan Island in the distance is placed into the picture frame of the building, with an impressive landscape design.

The hot springs in Jiaoxi are well-known at home and abroad. Not only can visitors take a dip, they can also make mineral water for drinking.

Zhuangwei is located in the northeast of Yilan County. It used to be the largest settlement of the Kavalan Indigenous peoples north of the river. Due to its location close to the sea and coastal area of the Lanyang Plain, it is the Nailanyang Plain Coastal center and enjoys exquisite coastal scenery.

Dingpu is located in Toucheng Township, Yilan County and is on the "Yilan Plain Line" of the Danlan Ancient Trail. One of the “Promotion Main Lines” starts at Waiao Railway Station and ends at Zhaoying Temple in Yilan.

Located in Jiaoxi Township, Yilan County, there are far fewer passengers at Sicheng Railway Station than Yilan and Jiaoxi stations. The sparsely populated and quaint station has made multiple appearances in movies and TV series.

The Danlan-Yilan Plain Line passes through Qijie, where the Canal Branch Line starts from Jinma Bridge in Toucheng and passes Zhuan Bridge, Dezikouxi Bikeway, Wayao Bridge, Qiwulan Road, Qijie Road, Wunuan Road and Zhongshan Road Section 5, ending at Jintongchun Road.

Yilan City, the only county-governed city in Yilan, is located in the center of the Lanyang Plain and is the administrative center and transport hub of Yilan County. It is also home to many historical buildings, historic sites and century-old traditional handicrafts.
