Located at the junction of Ruifang District, Keelung and New Taipei City, this area used to be full of coal mines, but with the decline of the industry, most of the mines in Sijiaoting are now closed.
Shuangxi is the junction point between New Taipei City and Yilan County, and an important relay station on Danlan Old Trail. Many trade transactions were transshipped at Shuangxi Ferry Port, which drove the development of local commerce. However, over time the area fell quiet and Shuangxi Old Street is now deserted and silent.
Laoliaokeng Historic Trail is one of the most famous trails in Nuannuan District. In the early years, it was the earliest coal mining area of Keelung and today it has been transformed into a mining ecological park offering plant ecology, education, historical site preservation, leisure and entertainment.
Shifen is located in Pingxi District, New Taipei City. The Pingxi Railway Line was originally built to transport coal but is today a popular sightseeing route.

Located at the junction of Pinglin and Shuangxi District 2, the water in Sanshuitan is crystal clear and full of fish and shrimp, which reflects the fact that the natural habitats of the nearby mountains and forests are well preserved. Sanshuitan is also an intersection where Kuolai, Beishixi and Wantan Historic Trails meet, all of which are famous for their beautiful river bank scenery.
Kuolai Historic Trail is located in Kuolai, Pinglin District, New Taipei City. Before reaching the start of the trail visitors pass "Kuolai Suspension Bridge," the perfect location from which to appreciate Beishixi River and the beautiful scenery.
Meiziliao is a primitive forest and bamboo forest trail in the mountain that is quite steep. After Meiziliao, visitors can continue to Fangshankeng Historic Trail, the oldest trail used by Meiziliao residents to travel to and from Pingxi Huoshaoliao and Shuangxi Zhongkeng.
When entering and exiting Kuolai Historic Trail, visitors pass Lusixiu No. 3 house. Although the owner is not present, the chairs placed at the door and the nearby natural mountain spring provide hikes with a much-needed short rest.
Wushan, located in Shuangxi, New Taipei City, is no stranger to experienced hiking groups. In the early days, Wushanjian, Wangxingshan and Zhiqishan were popular routes for experienced hikers and considered relatively difficult.

Located in Ruifang District and Shuangxi District of New Taipei City, Sandiaoling is sparsely populated, with verdant mountains on both sides of a river with occasional local trains crossing the river. The beauty of this quiet mountain city brings to mind a fantasy world drawn by Hayao Miyazaki.
Pingxi District is a mountain town through which the upper reaches of the Keelung River run. Stream erosion and stratigraphic changes have created the district's unique landscape and many old trails on Danlan National Greenway Middle Route are located near Pingxi District, including "Nuandong Old Trail," which has been a transport route from Nuannuan to Shifenliao since the Qing Dynasty.
